TWO MORE EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT CENTERS!

======================================

http://nheon.org/oet/nclb/centers.htm

The New Hampshire Department of Education has awarded educational technology grants to two more consortia to establish Local Educational Support Centers. Merrimack Valley School District will establish the Capital Area Center and the Claremont School District, awarded in partnership with the Keene School District, will establish the Sugar River Center.

These two locations will supplement the four Centers created last year to inaugurate the New Hampshire Local Educational Support Center Network (LESCN). These Centers are gradually introducing professional development courses and workshops to educators within their regional service areas. Their focus is to enhance professional development with effective technology integration. We encourage you to find out more about what they offer and how they are helping to network educators across the state.

STATE OF THE STATES in T.H.E. Journal

======================================

http://www.thejournal.com/setda

The State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA), of which the NHDOE is a member, has partnered with T.H.E. Journal to produce a very special series of feature articles. The July issue of T.H.E. Journal will be devoted exclusively to the "State of the States" and is bound to be a special and significant publication. You’ll want to make plans to read a copy and ensure that your fellow educators do, too.

If you do not have a subscription to T.H.E Journal, you can receive one for FREE by going to a special site T.H.E. has set up for SETDA at http://www.thejournal.com/setda. We’re letting you know now about this to ensure that you get signed up in time to receive a copy in July.
