Primex3
Workshop on School & Government Websites ===========================================
http://www.nhprimex.org
Training
info from Primex:
Websites
present opportunities for the exchange of vast amounts of information quickly
and efficiently. They also allow information to be copied and accessed
anonymously. This tool for communication and interaction with citizens,
though, is not without a measure of risk.
To help
school districts and other local governments examine risk management
principles associated with administering, hosting, and managing their public
entity websites, the NH Public Risk Management Exchange (Primex3)
will be offering a workshop. This half-day training will cover
contractual issues in web development and hosting; copyright infringement and
protecting website content; E-government and the Right-to-Know Law (NH RSA
91-A); protecting individual privacy; First Amendment issues, and tips
& tricks to making websites work.
The workshop features
Ron Weikers, Esquire, who has handled software and other high technology
matters since 1988 while practicing in Silicon Valley, San Francisco,
Philadelphia, the Boston area, and New Hampshire. Ron is a 1988 graduate of
Villanova Law School, where Ron was a published member of the Villanova Law
Review, and the leader of a national moot court team. Ron is a 1984 graduate
of Carnegie Mellon University, which is one of the nation’s premier
computer-oriented schools.
For more information on
this Primex3 training program, please refer to the
Training Calendar portion of their website (http://www.nhprimex.org)
