www.nheon.org/oet/nclb

The 2007-08 Enhancing Education through Technology grants to districts (commonly known as No Child Left Behind, Title II-D Grants) will be issued in four phases during 2007-08. Each phase will have a separate application process and separate due date. Release of funds is contingent on receipt of the federal funds award notice from the U.S. Department of Education, which we expect to receive on or about July 1, 2007. The Local Educational Support Center Network (LESCN) will be involved in varying degrees in all four phases. The four phases and the anticipated deadlines for receipt of applications from districts are as follows:

Phase I – Digital Portfolio Series (due 7/12/07)

Phase II – Technology Integration Mini-Grants (due 10/1/07)

Phase III – Digital Tools Grants (due 10/15/07)

Phase IV – LESCN Continuation Services (due 11/30/07)

More complete information on the grants and the online applications process will be posted at www.nheon.org/oet/nclb.

The 2007-08 Enhancing Education Through Technology grants (NCLB Title IID) will be released in four phases this year. Information about applications for the first of four phases is now available at www.nheon.org/oet/nclb. The online application will open on Monday, June 18th. The focus of this first phase is on providing high quality ongoing professional development to school teams in the development and implementation of digital portfolios in classrooms at elementary, middle, and high school levels. The application will remain open until July 12, 2007. We encourage all schools to consider submitting an application.
