As part of the e-Learning for Educators Initiative in New Hampshire, OPEN NH sponsors professional development training to learn how to deliver effective and content-rich online professional development courses. This 10-week online training course will include an initial face to face meeting, online participation, and application of the skills learned by teaching a seven week online course to other educators across the state. Participants will have the guidance of an experienced online educator to work with them through the facilitator training process. The training course is followed by delivery of an online course that has already been designed. Developer Training Core e-Learning for Educators project activities include selecting and training course facilitators and developers, designing online courses specifically tied to the needs of NH schools and educators, and researching effective online professional development. Along with offering professional development courses for educators and training online instructors, the e-Learning for Educators Initiative also promotes the training of New Hampshire course developers. OPEN NH sponsors professional development opportunities to learn how to develop an effective and content-rich online professional development course. The 10-week online developer training course will include an initial face to face meeting, online participation, and application of the skills learned to develop a content rich course to be offered by OPEN NH to educators across the state. Participants will work with an experienced online course developer to learn the techniques for quality course development.

| ABOUT TRAINING |
Instructor Training The Instructor Training Course was last held from January through March, 2010. For this round of training, preference will be given to previous facilitators, who want to refresh their skills and learn new ones. However, anyone with previous onine course facilitation experience is encouraged to apply. Online facilitation experiences are required and experiences with OPEN NH are preferred, but not mandatory for a successful application. Online Application for the 10 week Advanced Instructor Training Course is currently closed. Applications were taken from November 18 through December 15, 2009.
Developer Training The Developer Training Course is scheduled to begin on 28 April, 2010. Preference was given to OPEN NH facilitators and developers with extensive online learning experience. An onine course developer must have a desire and willingness to collaborate online as part of a content development team. Course topics and team partners were determined by the committee. Online Applications are currently closed. Applications were taken from March 24 through April 15, 2010. Check back here or on the eLearning Blog for details.
